Flagship Projects

A portfolio view that makes each project reinforce the next.

The original Projects page contains strong material, especially around GISEZ and KOFUL. This redesign expands that into a more coherent portfolio structure where energy, manufacturing, and digital investor access read as parts of one operating system.

Portfolio

Each flagship project now has a clearer role inside the overall industrial thesis.

Instead of repeating broad sustainability language, the renewed portfolio view clarifies what each initiative does, how it fits the wider platform, and which strategic outcomes it supports.

Industrial platform/sectors

Green Industrial & Special Economic Zones

A master-planned industrial system designed to bring manufacturing, utilities, logistics, and innovation into one coordinated low-carbon framework in Uganda.

8,000 acres3 strategic zones1000+ factory potential
  • Shared infrastructure for power, water, gas, transport, and industrial services.
  • Circular economy and climate-resilient design principles embedded into zone planning.
  • A stated ambition to attract over $5 billion in investment and enable over $10 billion in annual exports.
  • Designed as a regional industrial gateway rather than a standalone real-estate development.
Energy infrastructure/projects

1GW Solar Power Backbone

A planned 1GW solar power plant and 250MW solar panel assembly facility positioned as the clean energy engine for industrial growth.

1GW generation250MW assemblyClean baseload for GISEZ
  • Supplies renewable electricity to manufacturing, agro-processing, logistics, and innovation industries.
  • Reduces the dependence of industrial growth on fossil-fuel-heavy power systems.
  • Creates a stronger story when treated as backbone infrastructure for the entire platform.
Inclusive manufacturing/projects

KOFUL Eco Sanitary Pads Factory

A high-volume manufacturing initiative using banana and sugarcane fibers to produce affordable menstrual hygiene products for East Africa.

1,000 pads/minUp to 1M pads/day10M women and girls impact
  • Converts local agricultural materials into value-added manufactured products.
  • Expands access to hygiene products while supporting education, health, and livelihoods.
  • Demonstrates how inclusive manufacturing can sit inside the wider green industrial thesis.
Digital interface/investor-portal

Investor Portal

A coming-soon platform intended to make site selection, application workflows, regulatory guidance, and investor updates more legible and efficient.

Plot discoveryApplication trackingDocument access
  • Combines opportunity browsing, policy packs, approvals guidance, and progress monitoring.
  • Signals that Diacente understands the investor experience must be designed, not improvised.
  • Potential blockchain and smart-contract messaging should serve trust and transparency, not become the headline.

PPCP Model

The Public-Private-Community Partnership model becomes much more persuasive when shown as an operating framework.

On the original site, the PPCP model is one of the most distinctive strategic elements. In the redesign it becomes a central execution lens for how capital, communities, and institutions participate.

Community ownership

The public model explicitly includes local communities as stakeholders with long-term economic participation and accountability.

Government enablement

Public institutions are framed as critical enablers for infrastructure, permits, and policy coordination across the zone ecosystem.

Private capital and technology

Private operators and investors are expected to bring capital, specialist knowledge, and industrial execution capacity.

Local procurement

The model emphasizes pulling local suppliers, cooperatives, and SMEs into the production system instead of keeping them outside it.

Profit-sharing logic

Land-contributing communities are positioned to benefit directly from long-term value creation rather than only from one-off compensation.

Capability building

Training, technical support, and market access are treated as structural requirements for durable industrial development.

Expected Outcomes

Impact metrics are used as directional evidence, not decorative numbers.

The site now groups jobs, sourcing, investment, and export targets into one concise view so visitors can quickly understand the scale of ambition.

Deep Dive

The natural next layer is sector depth: where exactly the industrial opportunities live.

The sectors page now extends the project story into a more practical zone-by-zone overview for investors, operators, and ecosystem partners.
